Bear Market

It seems everyone agrees we are currently in a crypto/NFT bear market. Many people are worried, many have lost large sums of money and many are leaving the space. I have a few thoughts on what's going on right now.

1. Gary was right. He predicted this happening. The guy is the Nostradamus of the internet. Listen to him.

2. I think the Crypto bear market is a direct result of the current equities bear market. Money needs to flow into the crypto space from somewhere. Often times people will move stock gains into the even riskier crypto market. That pool of money has dried up. I don't think we'll turn a corner in the crypto space until stocks begin to make significant gains again.

3. You should not play in the crypto space with money you cannot afford to lose.

4. Look for top-quality projects that do a good job weathering this storm. Who panics and leaves? Who uses this as an opportunity to build? The cream will rise to the top.

5. I really think things will eventually get better. I think we'll see new all-time high floors in Book Games... eventually. It will probably take a long time. It could take years. Do you have the patience for that? If not, this might not be the place for you.

This is probably a good time to reassess what you're trying to do in the crypto space. Do you have the risk tolerance this market requires? Most of all, take care of your mental health. If you're struggling with that aspect of your life, reach out for help. Your mental health is not worth sacrificing just to stay in this game.

VaynerSports Pass / VeeFriends Collaboration

On Thursday of this week, AJ Vaynerchuk held a Twitter Spaces with Micah Johnson and Gary Vaynerchuk. Starting at about 27:19 of that spaces, Gary started talking about a Vaynersports Pass and VeeFriends collaboration. He said they are definitely going to do one or more and hinted at several possibilities including his access time.

I personally think Vaynersports Pass is a sleeper NFT project. They've already done a free to mint collaboration with Micah Johnson and AKU called Starboys. They've done raffles for in-person events in New York and Singapore and said that those will continue. They hold regular AMAs with professional athletes they work with. It's only been around for a few months and already has more utility than most NFT projects.

The floor is under 0.2ETH so it's not super expensive to buy in. Each card has icons on it. The icons seem to give access to events. For example, the Yankee game raffle was open to those holders with a baseball icon on their cards. It was also open to "blank" cardholders -- those are cards with no icons which act as a sort of wildcard. Do some research on it if you're into sports.
